Our radiator and coolant service at Kovach’s Auto Repair in Brighton includes a pre inspection, draining/cleaning, refilling/post inspection, and a cooling system flush. The engine cooling system in your vehicle is a vital part, as it reduces the core temperature of the engine by transporting heat away from it. This is done through the circulation of antifreeze through hoses supporting the components that generate heat. The heat is moved away from the engine and toward the radiator where the temperature is reduced.
It is important to routinely get your radiators and coolant inspected to prevent the overheating of your engine. Kovach’s Auto in Brighton has more than 25 years of experience providing radiator and coolant services to Livingston County. At Kovach's Auto Repair, we are more than just tires and brakes.
Pre Inspection: Before we start to drain and clean the coolant system, we perform a pre-inspection by checking radiator hoses and the radiator for leaks.
Drain & Clean: If everything looks fine from the pre-inspection, we start to drain the old antifreeze out of the coolant system, allowing us to complete the service.
Refill & Post Inspection: After all of the old antifreeze is drained, new coolant is then added, and a final post-inspection is completed.
Cooling System Flush: Our coolant fluid exchange machine pushes new coolant into the radiator, while at the same time, forcing old, dirty coolant out.
To reduce the risk of the engine overheating and freezing, a sufficient amount of antifreeze and water must be present in the cooling system at all times. This is not the only function of the coolant system, however, it also slows the corrosion of the components as well.
The majority of our coolant system repair customers come from Brighton, Hartland, Howell, Pinckney, Whitmore Lake, Hamburg, along with, South Lyon, New Hudson, Wixom, Milford, Highland, and Clyde. Kovach's generates repeat business, simply because they have so much to offer their customers.
